Color: Running in Circles is a vivid emerald green glass fleck. It is incredibly multitonal. The polish has a a slight gold undertone that gives it a lit from within look. You can see all the different tones in the polish in the macro shots below. While this color is appropriate for Christmas, its jewel tone base gives it a fresh vibe that is perfect year round. This is especially fitting for 2013 as Pantone just named Emerald the color of the year. Just looking at this polish in the bottle makes me happy. I would like to note that in the bottle, the color can have a slight blue tone around the edges. This does not appear on the nail. Instead the color reads a true emerald.
Application: Flawless! This is a truly perfect polish. I had no problems with application. It went on smoothly and was opaque in two coats. The dry time on this polish was also incredibly quick. I barely even needed a quick dry top coat. I do recommend a top coat with this to really bring out the shine, but it would also look very interesting with a matte coat that would accentuate the different colored glass flecks within the polish. This was a little tricky to remove from the cuticles as it is such a bold color, but I wouldn't let that deter you from purchasing.
Overall: If you don't have this, you should seriously consider adding it to your collection. I know green can be a divisive color among polish lovers, but this green is so gorgeous, I think it can bridge the divide. With a flawless application and intense jewel tone, Running in Circles is one of my top picks from the Cirque du Soleil Worlds Away collection.
Stay beautiful!
