OPI Nail Envy Review

OPI Nail Envy
Source

I have frequently discussed my nail troubles on my blog. I am a reformed nail biter (with the occasional relapse) and find that my nails take forever to grow. Once they hit a certain length, they seem to just break. After trying several different brands of nail strengthening base coat with varying levels of success (see my review of Seche Rebuild), I decided to give the classic OPI Nail Envy a try.

I am happy to report that it works! My nails grew faster, were stronger, and just seemed healthier. I also really liked that when used as a base coat, it didn't negatively affect the life of my manicure. The formula was fantastic in that it wasn't too thick and dried incredibly quickly. It was very easy to apply and didn't smell intense. I found my bottle at my local Marshall's on sale, but I would absolutely buy this at full price. I haven't tried any of the more specialty versions. Have any of you tried the specific treatment products from OPI? If so, please share your experience in the comments!

Stay beautiful!

Layla Gel Effect Polish Review

Layla Gel Effect Polish

I have been trying lots of new nail polish brands lately. Recently, I was sent a new Layla polish for review: Layla Gel Effect in N.05. This line of polishes is meant to provide similar results to a gel manicure without the UV lamp. That means it is supposed to stay shiny and chip free for quite some time.

Trouble Commenting With Internet Explorer

I have heard from a few readers that they are unable to comment on my blog when using their Internet Explorer browser. Apparently this is a problem caused by the IE browser, not Blogger or the Disqus commenting system. I very much value all your comments and have found Disqus to be the easiest commenting platform for the majority of my readers to use. If you currently rely on Internet Explorer to view my blog, please see this webpage which provides information as to why there may be a problem with the compatibility of the browser. I know that IE is having problems with other non-Blogger or Disqus sites as well so this may fix other issues you are experiencing. Thank you to my kind readers who pointed this out to me, and please do keep commenting! I love hearing what you all have to say!

Vaseline Spray and Go Moisturizer Review

Vaseline Spray and Go Moisturizer
Source

I must admit that I watch quite a bit of television particularly as I like to keep it on in the background for company. Accordingly, I see my fair share of commercials and questions of truth in advertising always come to mind. One advertisement that has really been bothering me lately is the TV spot for the new Vaseline Spray and Go Moisturizer. If you have not seen the commercial, it shows a girl (set to fun music) stepping out of the shower, spraying a stripe of the moisturizer down each limb, using her hands with one pass to rub in the moisturizer (more of swipe actually), stepping into her clothing immediately after, and walking out the door. The implication is that this new moisturizer is so quick and easy to use, you don't even have to rub it in and you are good to go! In fact the tag line is "Moisturize in Seconds!" Originally, I wasn't going to review this product, but I now feel a duty to you readers to tell you the truth: IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY! Keep reading to find out how it actually performs.
